As a student in Leeds, I wanted to be part of a church that was truly seeking Jesus and reaching the city. There has been so much opportunity at Mosaic to get stuck in and feel part of a warm and vibrant bunch of people. The first thing I remember about Mosaic was making friends quickly, and feeling welcomed. There's always someone inviting you round for tea and there's a lot of opportunity to hang out with people!

Being part of a mission group has been really important for me in forming strong relationships and being challenged to share Jesus with my friends. Last summer, a group of us went to work with Hope Church in Durban, South Africa. This was a time of really having to rely on God to be able to step out and talk to people on the streets. It was also a time of getting to know people really well and ‘realising’ how amazing they all are! I learned that it’s only in God’s strength that I can speak out and love people. It’s great when we go into Leeds and chat to people about Jesus. Mosaic is big on loving people and big on praying to see Leeds won for Jesus!

I have been invested in so much since I started university. People have met up with me individually to encourage me and pray for me. I have been surrounded by people who want me to grow and who see the best in me. I have felt safe in learning (and often making mistakes!) and being part of a family I can trust. It’s an exciting thing when you love your church to bits and are proud to belong to a group of people!
