Trainees will be based at Mosaic and spend the majority of their time serving different ministries in the church. They will also meet regularly with other Newfrontiers Impact trainees for residential training in Newcastle where they will receive teaching from experienced and gifted teachers and leaders. Subjects will include everything from The Doctrine of God to Handling Money, from The Church to Mission, End Times to Leadership.
There are two mission trips (one in the UK and one abroad) and the opportunity to attend the Mosaic Training School. This is a year in which you will grow dramatically in your knowledge and experience of God.
It gives you a chance to set aside a whole year and devote it to God. As part of the year you receive great teaching along with other ‘FPers’ in the North and have time in your week to study areas that are on your heart. It also provides an opportunity to rely on God for your finances. You get to discover and develop your gifts, as well as being humbled by doing jobs that might not be your first choice!
Many people comment that their year doing FP is a refining one, and often in an unexpected way. I can vouch that this is indeed the case! This year has been a journey of faith with Jesus, through which I have been stretched and challenged and have learnt so much about God, working in ministry and myself! It has allowed God to build firm foundations in me that he can continue to build on in the rest of my life. Everybody’s FP year is unique! But for me this year has been a time of preparation and focusing, for God to further use me for His kingdom purposes.”
