In the Bible those who believed in Jesus were fully submersed in water and lifted again symbolising their new life with Jesus. Here at Mosaic, baptisms are one of our favourite events as a church community.
Our next baptism services will be on Sunday 8th April (Easter Day). Please speak to your mission group leader if you would like to be baptised.
Mobilise is a fantastic conference for students and 20s run by Newfrontiers. This year, for the first time, Mobilise will be in the Easter holidays (great for all you teachers!) and will be central, in Prestatyn (great for us Northerners!) We would highly recommend getting along to Mobilise this year - 4 whole days of great worship, as well as teaching from PJ Smythe and Andrew Wilson. Tickets cost £110 for students and £125 for non-students, which includes ticket and accommodation. We are hoping to take a big group of people so please book in here and email .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) so travel and accommodation can be coordinated.
6.30 Leadership is a 10 session course for those wanting to grow in their relationship with God, understanding of the bible and leadership gifts. It will happen on the 4th Tuesday of every month starting on 27th September 2011, 6.30-7.30am. The year costs £20 and includes breakfast.
The course is open to everyone and is ideal for those who serve in leadership in the church in any capacity or who are looking to get more involved in the year ahead.
You can view the full details and timetable here. Please email Katie Hawcutt to sign up.
We love to celebrate and thank God for our children’s lives, and are committed to serving our kids together as a church family. Our next dedication service is on Sunday 1st April at 10.30am. For more information or if you would like to dedicate your child, please contact Hannah O’Shea.
Please be aware that the Warehouse is open to the public on Sundays. Unfortunately a few things have been stolen over the last few weeks, so we would like to remind you to keep your belongings with you at all times, and to let one of the staff team know if you have any concerns.
There will be cycle racks going up in the back yard in the next two weeks, so if you bring a bike please lock it up outside instead of putting it in the corridor.
We are always looking for people who want to get more involved with serving the church community; in fact we believe it is one of the privileges of being a member here.
At the moment we need people to join the welcome team on Sundays. Welcoming visitors and regulars is a really important part of our Sunday services, and you don’t need any previous experience to join the team! Please email Mark Day to get involved.
Acorns Playtime is for kids and their parents or carers in Holbeck and the surrounding area. The group meets every Wednesday 10.30am to 12.30pm at Mosaic Church, 10 Sweet Street, LS11 9DB. There are lots of crafts and fun things to do together.
If you’d like to come, just turn up on a Wednesday or email Bekah Patel for more information.
