A congregational song about the Holy Spirit!

I’m posting this by request of my friend (and fellow artistic type) Louise Wood:)

It’s the first track on an EP I recorded in ‘08 called “Let it be said”.  I should probably mention that you can find said EP on ITunes. 

This song is about how passion for God flows out from us and changes the world around us, because he’s the source of everything good.

Reason with me

This is a song I wrote for a new student service run by Emmanuel Church, Durham, called The Ark.

The Bible talks about how God will “reason” with us - that he loves us, and he loves to hear from us, and that when we do talk to him and appeal to him, we can see change in our lives and our circumstances.  I think God cries out for us to communicate with him.  That is the premise of this song.

My first song upload!

This is a song I wrote for the North 2010 camping weekend.  It’s written from the perspective of God speaking to his people (in Christianese, we’d call it a “prophetic song”).  I really felt to communicate the aspect of God as a jealous lover.  I’m captivated by this facet of his character, and I think it’s something that we can so easily miss, or just skim the top of.
