Annual Report 08-09

Roughly twice a year we gather everyone at Mosaic to look together at some of the highlights of our community life then talk about our hopes and challenges for the coming year. This church wide meeting is a crucial communication point for the church. Anyone can ask anything (and usually do) about the running of the church.
Last Sunday we held this meeting and if you missed it, here is the annual report which summarises all that we presented. Enjoy!

Thank you so much for your support. When I get back to Leeds I intend to serve my socks off!
It was great to read the annual report. Ephesians 4 comes to mind, particularly verses 11-16:
11It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers,
12to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up
13until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.
14Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.15Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into him who is the Head, that is, Christ.16From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.

I really feel that this is what Mosaic is good at: letting God raise up people to serve Him by encouraging people’s giftings - developing the body of Christ. And although there may not be enough money right now to pay people to serve, I believe that through persistent and thankful prayer God will release an abundance of resources to make this happen.
I love and miss you guys so much.
